Pink Sugar by Tiffany Candles

IMG_4344

Their scent description: Pink Sugar – A fruity blend of cotton candy, lemon drops, caramel & raspberry jam on a dry down of musks.

This just smells like a sweet perfume to me. It reminds me of the note that all Victoria Secret’s body mists have. It’s smells like very a generic teenage girl perfume. The cotton candy is definitely the strongest note and I couldn’t really smell any of the other scents.

When warmed, it smelled a lot more buttery. I could detect a hint of artificial strawberry starting to come in. I used two tarts and the throw was strong enough, but not overpowering. It isn’t something I would enjoy continuously, but it does seem like a nice mixer to soften my other heavier scents. I bought this pack for $ 2.25 for 3 fluted tarts and I would definitely repurchase it.

Honey Bunny by Tiffany Candles

Image

Their scent description: Honey Bunny – Sparkling notes of bergamot, sweet orange, and crisp apple; followed by rich, golden honey nectar, toffee bits, and soft white musk mingling together to create a sweet treat as natural as sunshine

I think this smells EXACTLY like Lush’s Honey I Washed the Kids soap. If you’re looking for a straight up sweet honey scent, I don’t think this is it. It’s definitely more floral than the real thing. Not that this is to be classified as a floral scent. It’s a honey that was watered down with rose water or something. It even has the soapy undertone that the lush product has as well. I’m very impressed by how they imitated it. Reading the description, I expected it to be very bakery. Though I described it as a homey scent, it’s definitely not a bakery scent, but rather a cozy one.

The cold throw seems harsher than the scent when warmed. When warmed, it’s a very homey scent that I wouldn’t mind filling the house with. That being said, it wasn’t extremely strong. I had to be conscious of the scent for me to notice it. It lasted about 4 hours before it completely disappeared.

I would repurchase these tarts again, but I would probably add 2 fluted tarts instead of 1. I think this is worth the money of $2.25 for 3 tarts, but I definitely think that I would use this up faster than my other Tiffany tarts.

Christmas Cookies by Tiffany Candles

Image

Its a beautful cream color with silver glitter on it.

Their scent description:

Christmas Cookies – Candy Cane blended with Sugar Cookies (Created by Christy, A Tiffany Candles Blend)

I get both scents and they don’t stand out against each other. They just complement each other really well. On cold throw, it’s stronger on the sugar cookie scent, but it balanced out in the 24 watt warmer. When melting, It’s a sweet peppermint scent with a sugary bakery vanilla. It’s not too heavy of a bakery scent. It could have been mistaken as a soft vanilla.

The throw of this was pretty good. It lasted for about 6 hours and lingered for about 2 hours after I put it out.

I would absolutely repurchase these tarts again. It’s a nice twist to the typical refreshing mint. I think this is absolutely worth the money of $2.25 for 3 tarts that I really do enjoy

Hershey’s Candle

Image

The wax inside is a very nice dark brown color. When melted, it gives a very even wax pool.

It’s just supposed to be a Hershey’s chocolate scent, and that’s exactly what it is.

It smells like melting chocolate. Many chocolate scents have a fake quality to them, but this has none of that. It’s straight up what it says, no chemical scent.

The throw is nice. Not amazing, but it can fill up a room. It’s not super man strong, but it’s at least Aquaman worthy. If you sniff hard enough, you can smell it after about 10 minutes.

I bought this in Singapore, so I can’t really talk about the price since that was well over 1 year ago.

Amazing candle that you can probably find on Ebay. It has the cutest packaging in the world! This is definitely a home run for me!

Every Me, Every You by David Levithan

Every-You-Every-Me

Time taken: 1 hour

I am absolutely unimpressed by this book. It started off interesting enough. The mystery was there, but the ending was a complete disaster. The storyline in itself was a flop and I thought the ending was just there to finish the story. This made no impact on me. It couldn’t be called a summer book because I could tell the author wanted it to be deep, but it ended up just being a cough out. There was almost no development in the story and overall, it was just a waste of my hour.

The writing was choppy and inconsistent. I could understand the flow, but there seemed to be no creative process to it. It was a so so book that had no basis or thoughts to it.

Sinus Relief by Tiffany Candles

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The tart comes in a beautiful dark teal with no extra decoration on it.

Their scent description of it was: Clear your head with this eucalyptus, spearmint & peppermint blend

I get the peppermint with a hint of spearmint, but the eucalyptus was no where to be found. That was fine for me though. It was still an amazing scent that I will definitely reorder.

The problem with this tart is the throw. The throw wasn’t that great and it didn’t last that long. It started fading 3 hours into melting so I had to pop another tart it. Even with two tarts, it wasn’t able to fill my fairly small room. I am willing to put up with those problems though because the scent is incredible.

Objectively, I don’t think this is really worth the money because there are other tarts with similar scents from other companies. This is kinda different from those though because of the lessened or lack of eucalyptus. It’s like a spearmint candy cane.

I am the Messenger by Markus Zusak

Image

Time taken: 5 days

I love this book. I was brought to buy this novel because “The Book Thief” is my all time favorite read and I wanted to try something else from this author. I loved how this was an easy read, but the end gets so much more cryptic. This particular book gives you faith in humanity and makes you question the meaning of existence. It’s a book that takes time because it provokes your mind. I think that’s the call of a great book, when you need time because you need to think and you can’t read another book right after because you’re too attached to said book.

Objectively, the flow was hard to follow at the end. It’s a shame because I know some people who didn’t understand it, so they couldn’t appreciate the ending. If you do get it though, it’s mind blowing. I love the progression and how the main character changes throughout. I love how he “unwrapped” everyone around him. Also, the witty banter and dry humor was very amusing and much appreciated. The divisions of the book were really nice as well. It kept things fresh and interesting.

This is a must read if you’re into questioning the simple things. The Book Thief is amazing too. This author is just amazing.

Donut Shop by Tiffany Candles Review

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

It’s very light brown in color with pink sugar on top of it.

Their description: Donuts, freshly baked, just like in your favorite donut store (A Tiffany Candles Blend)

I don’t really agree with it. When I walk into a Krispy Kreme or JCo branch, this is not what it smells like. I think this is largely based on cinnamon and cookies. That’s all I really smell with this. There’s a slight fried note to this though. It’s richer without being creamy. I think most bakery fans would love this, but if you’re not into rich smells, then stay away. Also, if you’re not sure if you like those scents, I would stay away. The strength might put you off bakery permanently. You have to work your way up to this baby.

On cold throw, this was extremely strong. I could smell it from my storage. It was so strong that I was a little concerned about how it would affect the scent of my other tarts too…

I placed one fluted tart in my 24 watt warmer, and within 10 minutes, it filled the room. It has an amazing throw to it and it lasted for about 7 hours. Tiffany’s bakery scents seem to last pretty long for me.

$2.25 for 3 tarts is a pretty good deal especially if it will last this long, and throw this amazingly with one tart.

Tiffany Candles’ Lemon Meringue Pie

008

Image taken from: http://byabf.blogspot.com/2012/09/vendor-spotlight-tiffany-candles.html

It has a nice fresh lemon scent to it with a pie crust note that follows. Note, it is not a bakery lemon. It is a fresh lemon followed by a bakery scent. The pie crust though isn’t a flaky pie crust, it’s more of graham crackers that got crushed down with cinnamon and sugar. I really really like this scent.

I’ve been warming it for more than 8 hours now and it’s still going strong. Anything over the big 8 gets a thumbs up from me.

The throw is pretty standard. It’s not knock you out of your room strong, but it does scent the whole room.

This was their scent of the month so I got it for $1.49 excluding shipping fee to the Philippines.
